“Meals are more than food on a plate. Meals also are a time for companionship.”
Tracey Collins, Chief Executive Officer of CASS
We serve the meals at senior centers and senior housing complexes. All of our sites serve lunch at least once a week. Some locations serve lunch five days a week. The OTR Senior Center and Maple Tower in Avondale serve breakfast as well as lunch every weekday.
Seniors are encouraged to contribute $1 per meal and can do so anonymously. But no one is denied a meal if they are unable to contribute.
CASS provides bus transportation to many of the meal sites. More information about our transportation services can be found here: cassdelivers.org/transportation. Transportation can be arranged by calling 513-721-0375.
Menus
We encourage seniors to let us know if they plan to join us for breakfast or lunch by calling 513-721-4330. But they’re also welcome to walk in without contacting us first. Our menus change monthly.

Our Food Safety Is Closely Monitored
CASS contracts with the Derringer Co. of Cincinnati to provide meals to our sites. CASS employs a diet technician, who monitors our meal sites for food safety. The Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio reviews our practices to be sure we’re meeting food safety standards.
Our Meals are Popular
In the last decade, we’ve expanded from two to eight meal sites. In just one year – 2019 – we served more than 50,000 meals to seniors.
We’re able to offer the meals by partnering with other organizations. With a few exceptions, CASS provides the food and transportation. The senior centers and senior housing complexes provide the space and the personnel who serve the food.
“We’re hitting all corners of Hamilton County. We have a model that works.”
Connie Baker, Chief Operating Officer, referring to congregate meals that CASS provides
