Once every three months, Whole Foods stores partner with community-based nonprofits to hold Community Giving Days. The company chooses nonprofits with missions, such as access to healthy food, that align with Whole Foods’ mission.
In addition to raising funds, the events raise awareness about the nonprofit’s cause. The nonprofit staffs tables in the stores to educate and interact with Whole Foods customers.
